Welcome back, Tinkerfolk! π
Last time, you drew a scarecrow β and today, weβre gonna make one! π¨
Not a real scarecrow (no scratchy hay here! π
), but a cute one made out of a plastic straw β yep, the kind you drink from! π₯€
Grab your supplies and letβs build our very own mini scarecrow friend step-by-step! π
Youβll need:
Print the PDF and color your scarecrowβs hat, face, and clothes. π©π
Make it bright, bold, and full of personality! π
Carefully cut along the dotted lines β these little strips will become the straps to wrap around your straw.

Tape the hat, face, and clothes onto your straw (but not the bendy part β thatβs the stander! π).
Use small strips of tape or glue to attach each piece.
Tuck the face under the hat and the clothes underneath. Make sure everything is snug and secure!
Bend the top of the straw and tape it to an index card folded in half (this makes a sturdy stand). πͺ
Now your scarecrow can stand tall β guarding your desk, windowsill, or pumpkin patch!

Head back to the PDF sheet β want to give your scarecrow a bow tie, scarf, leaf, pumpkin, or even a crow friend? π¦π
Decorate however you like and make it truly yours!
π’ The scarecrow in the PDF doesnβt have shoes β draw and color your own!
π½ Draw some corn stalks on cardstock, cut them out, fold the bottom tab, and tape them behind your scarecrow to make a mini scene.
π Write about your scarecrow! Whatβs their name? Where do they live? Why did you decorate them that way?
You did it β just 2 days left of Zero Spook Fall Fun!
Get readyβ¦ the grand finale is almost here! πβ¨
