Do you remember that magical moment in Pocahontas when colorful leaves swirl through the air? 🍂✨ Today, we’re going to bring a little bit of that magic into your homeschool day by learning how to draw your very own autumn leaf — just like the ones that dance around Pocahontas!
Grab your pencil, some paper, and your favorite coloring supplies… it’s time to get artsy!
✏️ Step 1: Draw the Leaf Shape
Start by sketching a soft diamond shape. This will be the basic outline of your leaf. Don’t worry if it’s not perfect — remember, every leaf is unique, just like in the forest!
🍃 Step 2: Add Some Fancy Edges
Now let’s give your leaf some personality. Add little points or gentle curves around the edges. Think about how the leaves swirled in the wind when Pocahontas sang “Colors of the Wind” 🎶 — playful, natural, and full of movement!
🌿 Step 3: Draw the Veins
Draw a line down the middle for the main vein, then add smaller lines branching out to the sides. This makes your leaf look more real, like one you’d find on a crisp fall walk.
